Course Description As organizations are challenged to do more with less, become more innovative, and meet the increasing demands of a rapidly changing environment, managers and supervisors must demand the highest levels of performance possible. Most employees come to work ready to perform, but often unclear about exceptions or how their contributions support the organizations success. This program will provide managers and supervisors with an introduction to a process of planning for performance and a structure for routinely monitoring and managing performance. Participants will also learn how to address performance issues early and effectively and the role of good documentation in both addressing performance problems and rewarding those who meet and exceed expectations.  

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to: Define Performance Planning and the Performance Review Process. List the elements of effective Performance Planning and Performance Review, Describe the Role of supervisors and managers in both addressing performance problems, and rewarding performers who meet and exceed expectations Develop an Action Plan for implementing Performance Planning and Review practices on the job
