 Course Description

The Commonwealth's employee and customer base has never been more diverse than it is today.  With this increase in Diversity we gain both new opportunities, and increased interpersonal challenges.  Valuing Our Diversity provides an opportunity for state agency employees to explore the issues of Diversity in a safe yet thought provoking environment.  Team activities, videos, and open discussions provide the forum for enhancing the ability to value the increasing Diversity of both those we work with as employees and the customers we serve as representatives of the Commonwealth. 

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

  • Define Diversity
  • Describe the value of diversity as a state agency employee
  • Identify options for addressing workplace diversity issues for both employee and customers
List and describe methods of applying concepts discussed in Valuing Our Differences
